Spring Into Action

Create a color comp of a banner ad for a Better Homes and Gardens-like online magazine

The ad should be 960px wide by 400px high. Here is the copy supplied by the client:

SPRING INTO ACTION
Turn your front yard into a gardener’s dream.

The tone should be gentle and feminine. Additional text can be added to enhance the design if you feel it needs it. The client wants to see lots of flowers. Remember the high-class sophisticated look they want regarding the nature of the site they are promoting. Take a look at the website that inspired your client’s product.

Use Flickr’s Creative Commons search to find any photo imagery you want to use to support the ad. Integrate eye-catching imagery with an effective use of typography to get a high clickrate.

Save-for-web into your homework folder.

  3. Hi Joel,

Sorry, but I do not understand well what we have to do, is it a webpage in photoshop with the banner and links and then pass all this into dreamweaver for making something similar to a real website and put the links in html code there?

    Joel,
I noticed that the four links provided don’t work. Please provide me with more information about the “Be sure to convert these blank links into HTML style text”.
    Thanks!
    Martin
